Kitten update

After a lot of thought, and with real regret, Diego, my black smoke girl will be looking for a new home. She is a wonderful little kitten who needs to go to someone who is home a lot, she is extremely affectionate and craves human company.
My reason for letting her go is that I have wanted to keep a Sybil kitten for some time now, but for various reasons I haven't. So far this year we have been unable to get Sybil pregnant, though I'm sure if she got out with the local Romeo she would be pregnant within minutes, lol. I have been offered the chance of her grand daughter (sired by one of the boys that Sybil produced last year), so I have decided that this may be my only chance of keeping Sybil's line. Also this kitten is not related to Manuel, which makes life easier for me :-).

Sid has been provisionally reserved, but I would be happy to take names for a reserve list should she become available.

Had a trip to Dartmoor yesterday, just had Spirit and Dime with me, it is one of the few places I can take Spirit at the moment , as she is in season, the chance of meeting anyone else is remote, I love my trips here. On this occasion a friend and I were planning on doing a walk from a book that should have taken about 2 hrs and covered 6km, not sure how we went so wrong but ended up covering considerably more and walking for nearly 6hrs! What a bonus for the dogs :-)

Spot the difference

This is by no means a dig at poodle crosses, though I choose not to be involved in their breeding. My friend Rosie has several poodle collie crosses (I might add that they are all lovely, from health tested parents and none cost her nearly as much as a well bred pedigree dog :-)  ) and she posted a picture of Disney after he had been groomed. So with her permission I have used this photo alongside one of Spirit, just groomed, to show the difference between the coat loss of a pure poodle compared to that of a poodle cross, just something worth bearing in mind if you are considering a cross for allergy reasons, most dogs do not moult until they are mature and if you are allergic it will be a heartbreaking decision if your dog that you have had from a puppy has to be re homed.

The GIRLS are beautiful, want to keep them both, they are so friendly. At nearly 5 weeks old Miss T is still not convinced they are old enough to explore, and tries to pick them up to put them back to bed, they are too heavy but that doesn't stop her trying!
Still waiting to see if Sybil is pregnant, if she is both will be available :-( but even if she isn't I will have to find a home for one.
