Shades of Colour

It's been an upsetting week, having discovered that Dollars girls are blue 2 are now looking for homes again, also one of Audreys pups that I was sure was a red at birth is possibly a very dark apricot and if that is the case she will also be looking for a home. Whilst I fully understand that the people who had originally booked them want a specific colour and have every right to change their mind as the pups are not the colours they were hoping for, it is very sad for me to see such beautiful pups needing homes again because they are the wrong shade of colour. This means that there are now 2 blue girls and 1 blue boy available and two apricot boys and one, maybe two, apricot girls available. Update, 1 of the blue girls now has a lovely family and home waiting for her.

These pups are possibly the most friendly litters that I have had, perhaps helped by the fact that due to the weather they have been indoors with me all the time. They are all well made solid pups with excellent breeding behind them. In addition to all the socialisation stuff I have done with previous litters I have been playing a 'scarey sounds' CD so that hopefully fireworks, storms etc won't bother them in the future. They have also met a strange dog and rather than being wary of him, he was positively mugged by the pups, Chip is a collie x and is an excellent dog to introduce pups to as not only is he tolerant he is also very gentle with them.
On the plus side, I had a lovely gesture, Sarah who is having one of Audreys pups dropped off pressies for the mums and had made a calendar for me using photos of my girls. Sarah I was really touched by this and it put a smile on my face during a rough week :-)Thank you.

Oh..I am so sorry to hear this Jane! As you say...it is a real shame that they are rejected because of the shade they may turn out (and it is all a bit of an unknown with any pup anyway). The pups do seem to me to be an utterly gorgeous goup, and you do such an amazng job with them. I cannot wait to get mine, and really hope that loving homes materialise soon for the others, because they and you so deserve that.

Hi Jane.... just seen your note!! So pleased you liked it, and that it helped a bit ...
It was the least I could do...you have been so kind, and your company and that of your stunning dogs has helped me so much through my year witout my adored doggy, Kate. I know just how much work you put into making your pups "SIMPLY THE BEST", and cannot wait to have mine. I do hope that people reflect and decide that colour really doesn't matter that much when the pup is so beautiful...

So sorry to hear of your problems placing the pups.
The two pups we had from you in 2010 have been such a delight and so easy- they've grown into beautiful well-adjusted intelligent girls.
The pups you have now are all absolutely gorgeous too- I'd have any (or all!!) of them tomorrow if we had room here, without hesitation - no one takes more trouble to produce top quality healthy well-prepared pups than you and I would be happy to recommend them to anyone.
Having met them all on Wednesday, I can testify they are all great characters just ready to melt your heart-hope they all find their forever homes where they will be loved and appreciated very soon.

I'm sure you'll have no problem in finding 5* homes for these 5* puppies Jane! Lilly is the most wonderful standard poodle! She's everything and more that I could have wished for! I love her! From all the information I have read and heard it all starts from the breeder so all credit to you in producing fantastic puppies!!!!
