It has finally warmed up and we have a dry, if not sunny, day. The pups had their 1st trip outside, they loved it, no shrinking violets in this litter :-).
A couple of the pups have now been chosen by their new families, and others who have booked will be visiting over the next week or so to pick out their special baby.
If you have a piece of old bedding or towel spare, please bring it with you when you come to choose your pup, this means that they will leave here with something they can cuddle into that will remind them of home.
I don't know how people make their choice, I only had 3 girls to choose from and am still undecided as to which one to keep (one has been chosen by her new family, so actually I am only trying to decide between 2!).
There are still 3 special boys waiting for their perfect home, boys make fantastic pets, and though they are likely to be a little bigger than the girls, they don't have all the hormone issues that can affect bitches and assuming they have been housetrained, they absolutely do not cock their leg indoors, I now have 3 entire males living with my entire girls and can honestly say that they have never lifted their leg in the house, even when the girls are in season (though Cash is still working on the concept of general toileting outside, bless him)

All the pups had their faces trimmed yesterday, they look like proper poodles now :-) What did surprise me is how dark a lot of the pups were under the fluff, when they were born I thought I had 4 red boys, as they grew I decided that there was actually only one red, though several had red top coats the roots looked to be coming through lighter, now having trimmed their faces, several (including 2 of the girls) look like they could be red, which basically means that other than saying all the pups are a fantastic rich colour, I really don't know, lol. It is very difficult to show a true interpretation of the colour as the flash tends to alter the colour somewhat, but it looks like the weather may actually start to warm up over the next few days, so may get the pups outside soon.
They are becoming slightly more active now, though they still sleep for about 22hrs a day. They have been wandering about the house meeting all the big dogs, the cats have been playing with them and there has been a steady flow of visitors this week, with several more expected next week, so these pups can't fail to be well socialised!
We have 3 gorgeous boys still available.
