Mainly pictures

Apologies for not updating for a few weeks, no excuses, just didn't get around to it :-)
Things are quietly ticking over here, the 3 older kittens are now well established in their new homes and the younger kittens will be going in the next week or so (apart from Mrs Miggins, who is staying with us). Our new boy will hopefully be joining us sometime in September, so that is definitely something for us to look forward to.

Had a visit from my bestest friend last week, she brought 3 of her poodle/collie crosses with her, including a delightful, if strong willed, pup, Pixel. As we expected all the dogs got on really well and we had a couple of lovely walks, including one on the beach. I have attached quite a lot of pics today, both from last weeks walks and todays as my camera is sick and I have to send it off for repair, I'm going to feel like my right arm has been cut off, Im dreading missing all those shots that I know are going to present themselves whilst I am cameraless :-(. As always, there are many more pics on my Flickr.com account.

I don't generally post any pics with me in them, but Rosie took this one and for some reason I like it, so here I am :-)

There has been a very positive response to the planned reunion (6th Sept), I am hoping that we will have more poodles than we did at the 1st one, really looking forward to catching up with everyone, please can everyone keep their fingers crossed that it stays dry for us, and that my camera is back!!

2015 Reunion?

Over the last few weeks I have been trying to sort a venue for a reunion this year, but so far I am not having much joy, so what I am now thinking is that it is once again held at Parke, Bovey Tracey again. This worked very well for us at our 2013 reunion, but it is not a private venue and we would have to take a chance on being able to take over one of the fields again. I am proposing Sunday the 6th Sept (had hoped to make it August but have too much going on) hopefully most who are interested in attending will be back from their summer hols by then. Once again I am suggesting a start time of approx 11:00 am through to late afternoon with a bring a picnic format. Please can I have some feedback on these suggestions as I need to know a rough idea of how many will be interested before I confirm it. As before this is open to all who have an Itzapromise pup and anybody who is thinking about getting one :-)

We are slowly getting sorted at home now, a lot of the work that has been done on the outside of our house has now been completed, we now have gas again and drains that work! Just the driveway and patio area to be finished, which will be such a relief as we seem to have as much sand and rubble inside the house as there is outside, lol.

The kittens are now complete maniacs, all of them have fabulous purr motors.

The dogs are once again getting the attention they deserve, they have all had a much needed bath and trim and are getting some really good walks, last week included a day at our favourite beach, Braunton Burrows in North Devon.

Fawlty

We have a new kitten coming to join Itzapromise, a lovely seal point boy who we are going to call Fawlty, continuing our Fawlty Towers theme. He won't actually be living here for a few months but I went to visit him today and took a few pics.

Fame (in Russia)

Some of you may remember that we had a Russian film crew visit us last year as part of a series they were making on different breeds of cats. This was the clip that included me and my cats, we start at about 17 mins into the film. It's all in Russian so I have no idea what's being said, but the cats performed well, lol. They also included a bit of footage of Cash and Purdie

Hectic times

Apologies for not updating last week, things have been a tad busy here, we are having to have our very tired driveway replaced and this has meant all hands on deck for removing the existing surface, including the part that wraps around the back of the house before you get to the lawn. I got to play with a jack hammer, which was great fun for the 1st 20 minutes, but the hours after that nearly killed me, still have the bruises and blisters on my poor hands :-(

We are now left with a large area of mud as the builder is unable to lay the new drive for a few weeks, as you can imagine this is not a great scenario with 9 dogs having to cross it every time they go into the garden or I have to put them in the van for a walk and I could have cried when we had heavy rain. Now add to that the fact that we have a gas leak and have had to turn the gas off (no we didn't hit a pipe!), leaving us with no hot water or cooking facilities (other than ovens), the gas man can't come until next week so my poor dogs and house are filthy and there is just nothing I can do about it. But hey, I'm sure it will be worth it and I will be chuffed with my new drive, patio and artificial lawn once they are all in, and at least the house rendering and painting is done and the scaffolding has been removed :-)

Kittens are growing fast and I would love to be in a position to keep more than 1, all are so friendly but the lilac boy is a real mummies boy.

Kittens are out

Tibb's kittens are all over the place! Such confident little babies. All are eating well and growing like weeds and all have wonderful purrs :-) There are more pictures on my Flickr account (link on the right if this page).

Bobs Kittens are, at long last, taking their 1st tentative steps into the big wide world (or our living room, lol). They are real chunky monkeys, especially the ginger boy, who I suspect is going to be a fair sized cat. All have got incredible coats and all are very laid back, though I suspect that given a couple more weeks they will be tearing around the house with the older kittens!
