Beetles kittens are now up and taking an interest in their surroundings, all 4 are very confident and keen to explore, which made photos not as easy as I predicted :) The chocolate and the chocolate tabby boys are currently available.

Bernards kittens will be having their 2nd vaccinations and microchips on Monday and will be leaving for pastures new in the following week. They have been a great litter, problem free and full of fun.

The dogs have not been neglected, we have had some lovely beach walks alongside their regular walks. We are looking forward to a quiet winter with no babies and then hopefully some puppies in the spring, which are eagerly awaited after more than a year since the last pups.

Calendars

This year I have not had calendars made, but I have had several requests for them. I am going to just use one of the big print companies to make my own calendars but if anyone would like one made for them I am happy to order extras. They are probably going to cost £12 plus p&p, I hope the quality will be good, they will be A3 in size and the same format as previous years and feature photos of my gang from Oct 2018 to Sept 2019. I will be ordering them by the end of Sept so if anyone wants to pre order one please pm me and we can sort out payment.

Whoopi update

Whoopi is now a few days shy of 10 months old, as Florin has been in season Whoopi has attended her trick classes. Despite having some disabilities she is doing so well and lives a very full life. This is a little compilation video that my friend took tonight.

The girls had a great day at the beach yesterday with my friends dogs, here are some of the pictures from our visit.

Best laid plans - not!

Confession time, Beetle was not meant to have this litter, she already had a litter in Feb this year and that should have been it, but she had other ideas. We have no idea how she got out, we have locks on all the windows and we have screen doors, but she is like a blinking ninja and 9 weeks later this is the result! This will be Beetles last litter, she will be spayed once these babies are weaned, but for now I would like to introduce you to her new family. At 1st glance we have a classic tabby male, the others are all female (subject to Emily confirming!) a chocolate spotted tabby, a solid chocolate and a naked black

Bernards babies are now at the fast as lightning and naughty as naughty things stage. The silver and white girl and the red boy are still available, please contact me/fill in application for, (link on the right) if you are interested in either of them or any of Beetle kittens.

R.I.P Spirit

R.I.P Spirit. This morning was truly awful, I came downstairs to see to the dogs and found that Spirit had bloated, her stomach was completely distended, despite getting her to the vets in less than 20 minutes and surgery starting pretty much immediately, the damage was too great and she died under anaesthetic. Spirit was a huge character, as a puppy she was foul, such a determined and stroppy madam, but as she grew she was just the easiest girl to live with, never a problem to anyone or anything. Famous for her facial expressions, her lack of interest in any ball games and her aversion to water I know that many people will have very fond memories of her. She was just 8 years old, never had a days illness in her life, she should have had a good few years left, life sucks sometimes.

A day out :)

Yesterday we attended my agility and trick training clubs show. I took Florin to compete in the trick training, Cash and Eliza for the agility (even though it has been nearly a year since they have done any) and Whoopi came for the ride. The agility went much as I expected, Cash and Eliza had great fun but we had a couple of mistakes in each course so no ribbons there. Florin didn't have a good day. I think it was my fault as we got to the show, quickly let the dogs out to stretch their legs, but as I was helping out they then had to wait in the van. I grabbed her just in time for her turn, so she had no time to acclimatise to the busy and noisy atmosphere and unfortunately she was quite spooked by the whole event and got stage fright, so we ended up just doing a couple of real fun bits and having a bit of a game with her ball instead. Whoopi was the surprise package, at the last minute Graham decided I should take her in the prettiest bitch class which (obviously ) she won , but then we went on to take Best in Show, which I think was helped by the fact that she sucked up to the judge big time! After that you would expect a lovely picture of Whoopi and her fabulous rosette, but of course I was with Graham and his photo skills (or lack of) are legendary so there is no pic, instead we have the 4 of them letting off a bit of steam at the end of the day

Bernards kittens are now exploring, still just toddling and fairly easy to control at the moment, but that won't last!
