Just back from a successful week in Germany and hopefully we have returned with more than one apricot std pooodle!

We visited Sabine of Big Cheyenne Poodles and were treated to a week of exceptional hospitality with Sabine ensuring our every need was catered for. Of course the most important part of our trip was not sightseeing but introducing Audrey to Big Cheyenne's Amattus, Matti to his friends.

All went very well and Audrey was just the perfect girl throughout the whole trip, she took everything in her stride, including the 8 hours of train travel, the trip in the Eurotunnel and the hours of driving involved on both the outward and return journeys. I was so proud of her :-)

Matti is a lovely boy, taller and slightly paler than Audrey, but similar happy, friendly disposition. After a half hour or so introduction period, where the dogs were allowed to play and get to know each other, they got down to business and we had a successful mating. So now we just have to wait a few weeks to see if there are puppies on the way.

Whilst we were away, Graham took Dollar to be mated, she visited Chlolly Chaser, Harry, who is registered as a blue, but he looks like a dark silver to me. Again he is a good looking boy with a completely unrelated, to Dollar's, and clean pedigree, he is also hip and eye tested. I think he was a very good match to Dollar and as with all my pups, I am looking forward to seeing what this mating produces.

I also had Dimes hip scores back last week, she has an extremely low score of 2:1. To say I am pleased with this score would be a real understatement!

On the subject of testing, I have submitted DNA samples from both Dollar and Audrey for Haplotype testing, both these girls have old pedigrees and this will help establish how diverse their pedigrees are, which is important in ensuring a healthy gene pool.

My other exciting bit of news is that I am bringing in a Silver boy from Sweden, he should be joining us in March, and as far as I am aware he will be bringing a totally new line into the UK. I will add further info, photos as soon as I can.

Will keep fingers crossed for a stork visit to Audrey. A Silver male? Could be the Harry Styles of the SP world ;)
